Privacy Policy

This page describes how Elevate Market Intelligence Limited( “Elevate”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data on this audit tool.

Who we are

This site is operated by ELEVATE MARKET INTELLIGENCE LIMITED, registered in England and Wales. The audit tool is a lead-generation product that produces tracking and SEO assessments for the URLs you submit. Contact about this policy: info@elevatemi.co.uk.

What we collect

We process the following categories of data:

  • Audit subjects. The website URLs you submit, the technical findings produced from them, and any LLM insights subsequently generated.
  • Contact details. Anything you enter on the email gate or contact forms — name, email, phone, company, time zone, the topics you flagged.
  • Pseudonymous identifiers. A first-party cookie (audit_user_id) so we can show you only your own audits and remember your preferences across visits.
  • Analytics events. Pageviews and basic interaction events captured via PostHog and Google Analytics 4. These only fire after you accept cookies — see the cookie banner. We do not enable session recording.
  • Server-side logs. IP addresses and user-agent strings on inbound requests, retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and debugging.

Why we process it

  • To run the audits you ask for and show you the results.
  • To follow up on enquiries you submit through the contact form (legitimate interest; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any follow-up email).
  • To understand how the tool is used and improve it (consent, captured via the cookie banner).
  • To comply with our legal obligations — accounting, tax, fraud prevention, statutory record-keeping.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for session continuity and a consent record. We use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage. Both are loaded only after you accept the cookie banner. Declining cookies stops all non-essential processing — but as the banner explains, the tool depends on the session cookie to work, so without consent the audit features are unavailable.

Third-party processors involved in analytics include PostHog Inc., Google LLC (Google Analytics) and SendGrid (for transactional email). All are configured to retain data within standard product defaults; we do not share data with advertising networks.

Where data is stored

Audit reports and your contact details are stored in our Postgres database hosted in the EU/UK on infrastructure we control. Email follow-ups are dispatched through SendGrid (USA, EU SCCs in place). Newsletter subscriptions, when you opt in, are managed through Mailchimp.

How long we keep data

  • Audit reports: retained indefinitely so shared links keep working. You can ask for deletion at any time.
  • Contact-form submissions: retained for the life of the commercial relationship plus 6 years for statutory accounting requirements.
  • Analytics events:retained per the processor’s default (PostHog: 7 years; GA4: 14 months event-level, longer aggregated).
  • Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the ICO.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@elevatemi.co.uk with the subject line Data requestand include the email address you used on this site so we can find your record. We’ll acknowledge within one working day and complete the action within 30 days. There’s no fee for standard requests.

Changes

We update this policy when our processing materially changes. The “last updated” date at the top of the page tracks the most recent change.
